Important, urgent, both, neither?
This campaign tip (no. 112) was published on Monday, 22nd April 2019
From my mailbox: "I am on annual leave with no access to my emails until Tuesday 23 April. I will respond to you on my return. If it is important please contact Rxxxxx Gxxxxxxx."
It's a good idea to differentiate between important and urgent!
I will do urgent tasks (unless they're unrequired) first ... but then make sure I leave time for the important.
The out-of-office message above rather suggests that my correspondent is doing a job that really doesn't matter - if it's important, don't ask me but ask my boss !!!
