What could be an impressive cycle route has overcome another obstacle. The South Kerry Greenway has beeen allowed to proceed by the Irish Supreme Court

A new use for part of the old Great Southern and Western Railway from Farranfore to Valentia Harbour.

The Kells (or Gleensk) Viaduct is not quite in the same class as the Glenfinnan Viaduct (no Hogwarts Express) but would impressive to cycle over. Red sandstone as opposed to mass concrete. Runs next to the Ring of Kerry.
