I have heard similar views from bus drivers in Somerset, who are not keen on the prospect of driving Evening services again after a decade of the county's bus network effectively being a daytime-only one.

This of course runs directly counter to what is the barest minimum aspiration of bus users, the county council and the DfT in the Somerset Bus Service Improvement Plan (http://www.firstgreatwestern.info/coffeeshop/index.php?topic=25562.0)
