Title: Unique words - "You have said ziss only once"
Post by: grahame on November 02, 2020, 18:55:39
I saw "petunias" in a post earlier today ... and feeling a need for light relief from some heavy pressure stuff that's been going on ... did a little light scripting.  Turns out that petunias have come up in three previous threads on the forum.

Here are some words that have only been used once.
lingonberry (http://www.firstgreatwestern.info/coffeeshop/index.php?topic=22947.msg284627#msg284627)
frogman (http://www.firstgreatwestern.info/coffeeshop/index.php?topic=21701.msg266477#msg266477)
flyGWR (http://www.firstgreatwestern.info/coffeeshop/index.php?topic=21093.msg259301#msg259301)
Thatcherism (http://www.firstgreatwestern.info/coffeeshop/index.php?topic=1257.msg6864#msg6864)
bantams (http://www.firstgreatwestern.info/coffeeshop/index.php?topic=1552.msg10129#msg10129)
Puccini (http://www.firstgreatwestern.info/coffeeshop/index.php?topic=4096.msg32622#msg32622)
jimjams (http://www.firstgreatwestern.info/coffeeshop/index.php?topic=7096.msg70799#msg70799)

Just picking up some of those grahame-words:
helicapters ? should of course be heliCAPters
shirtmodel ? those lucky GWR staff who were chose to show the green shirts on the catwalk
bitterwallet ? how you feel after buying a walk-up anytime from Penzance to London
chippenhammrs ? who are they playing this weekend? Come on you Chippenhammrs!

They are not quite all my words!  ;D

The Bakeloo line is the one with kilns on board all the tube trains for firing sanitary ware while you travel.

And I thought it was a coffee shop found at many stations. I was thinking of Puccinos  :-[

For some reason I was reminded of that round in ?I?m sorry, I haven?t a clue? where they have to smuggle a word into a sentence. The trouble is it?s usually ?Spudulike? or something like it.

Presumably it meets up with the Jubbly, Peccadillo, Distinct and Circus lines, not to mention the North Hen.
