It always used to make the regulars laugh. ;D

I recall either XC or Virgin had a bit of a card doing the Bristol to Totnes run that I was travelling on a good few years back, basically delivering a one man show as the journey went on. On a particularly overcrowded Temple Meads to Redland service a GWR chap lightened the mood with announcements of the stations such as "Resplendent Redland" and so on. He urged passengers not to forget to take their belongings and food with them unless they were bacon sandwiches or sausage rolls, which where is particular favourite.
I won't forget the guard who, on a Cam and Dursley bound service said he'd soon be round to check the tickets for all the "escapees from Yate".
