I think they possibly get a lot of people there heading for cruise ships with rather more than usual amounts of luggage...
North at the bottom of diagrams is something I usually think of as a London Underground style thing. Their vertical strip maps at stations just seem odd to me - I think we all understand the concept of north at the top from nearly every map we use, it isn’t difficult... Why would you turn it round? That makes "The North" straight up - and we (most of us anyway) don't rate it as being that heavenly. Obviously it has to be mentally turned, but to be horizontal, if it is to point to places at all. But not as if on a table, since then "Bath Spa" is at the far end, which is wrong. Obviously it has to be turned to be flat against the ceiling, and then I think you'll find it makes sense. That is obvious, isn't it? I guess navigating by the stars must be usual in Bath, for some reason...
