Title: Off the tracks Post by: grahame on July 08, 2016, 07:30:30 I'm more and more reminded that train travel for most people is a means to an end - and indeed I've noted that the last two publicity 'pieces' we've produced haven't actually included pictures of trains in them at all. So in that spirit, here are some pictures taken over the last weeks - a lot to do with my Community Rail Work, but no trains. All in TransWilts 'territory' ... can you work out where they are?

Number 5 is indeed Lacock Abbey, between Chippenham and Melksham and reachable during Monday to Saturday daytimes from Chippenham or Melksham on the x34 bus by Faresaver (http://www.faresaver.co.uk). Pictured on the occasion of the Great Greyhound Walk - only once a year will you see quite so many greyhounds and other longdogs (and lurchers) there. I've not seen the planters at Melksham Station this year, but I understand from grahame that they are magnificent. :)
