Title: 13:42 Paddington - Worcester Shrub Hill, Sunday April 19
Post by: Worcester_Passenger on April 19, 2015, 17:56:43
This train (and the corresponding return working) was operated by a class 180 today.

Is that normal?

No - they're usually under weekend maintenance....

Normally a HST I believe.  Would have been very full between Oxford and London no doubt!

My other half, who was on it, says that it caused some considerable confusion with seat reservations, with standard class passengers having reservations in D (the First Class on a 180).

In another incident with the potential to cause slight confusion, I saw an HST coming off Old Oak Common this afternoon with both a full kitchen/buffet and a mini buffet.  I assume only one was staffed.

Still some interesting combinations of carriages running around the network. Still a handful of sets with two FC carriages, some with just one. Most sets are now 1.5 FC.

It looks like this train is a 180 again this Sunday - on JourneyCheck as 5 coaches instead of 8.

Not this weekend, it is a 5-car Turbo to Oxford, 3-car beyond. Shortage of HST sets is the issue.

The return journey, the 16:28 from Shrub Hill, will be very cosy.

I noticed an Adelante passing Great Malvern in the direction of Hereford on Sunday afternoon (15 Nov) around 3.30pm
