Title: BBC: London - Brighton: Side by Side
Post by: ChrisB on January 04, 2023, 20:28:28
The BBC have reshown this 4ish minute non-stop run from London - Brighton shot in both 1953 & 1983 and sliced them together side-by-side.

Worth 4 minutes of your time to see the changes in that time, including the lineside vegetation allowed to shoot up (through lack of steam trains, I imagine)

Don’t spoil the ending.  I’ve recorded it.  ;D

Might be interesting to get a more recent comparison; 1983 is now longer ago than 1953 was then.
