The disturbance occurred on First Great Western^s 2030hrs Bristol Temple Meads - London Paddington service on Friday, June 20 between 9.10pm and 9.30pm, as the train travelled between Swindon and Didcot Parkway stations. PC Bob Burrowes, of BTP Oxford, is appealing for anyone who may have seen the disturbance on board this train to come forward. He said: ^This train was a busy Friday night service so I^m confident that someone may have witnessed this incident which resulted in the victim receiving a serious injury to his finger. ^Incidents such as this are extremely rare on the rail network which is generally a safe environment on which to travel. ^Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident and I am appealing for anyone who recalls seeing two men arguing with each other in coach F on this train, to come forward and contact BTP straight away.^ Anyone with anyinformation should contact British Transport Police on Freefone 0800 40 50 40, or text 61016. Or did this incident in-fact happen in Coach K and someone has not realised the Carriage Letters have been changed?
