Title: Minor 4.4 earthquake in Swansea... was that because a GWR train arrived on time?

Or was it the result of my 900th post. Really going to have to come up trumps for four figures !

i was out on a walk south of Bath and didn't feel the tremor at all. However, an hour or so earlier I had watched a metal bar across a field gate vibrating quite wildly for some minutes. As the weather was still and there didn't seem to be any other reason for it to happen, I did wonder then whether there might be an earth tremor taking place.

I’ve been laid up for a couple of days with an ear infection resulting in bouts of Vertigo, now I don’t know if I experienced another Vertigo moment or the Tremor! I was lying flat in bed and the light shade started moving

Felt in Melksham. Shrugs shoulders - felt similar a number of times in California, but we did wonder if it really was an earthquake.   Also felt like armourments landing in practise on Salisbury Plain, except we don't live across there any more.

Some panic buying noticed in Westbury park branch yesterday, but that was only because I'd run out of sun dried tomatoes!.

I felt it, I was using the toilet at the time and for a moment wondered what had happened.
It frightened my cat who ran and hid under a bed for over an hour.

Neighbours suffered from damage to a chimney, but it was already damaged and due for rebuilding.

The audiences in the cinema above might have thought it was some new version of the "Sensurround" systems from the 1970s! 😁

Something of the Dunkirk spirit evident on social media:
