Post by: froome on February 17, 2018, 20:32:37 i was out on a walk south of Bath and didn't feel the tremor at all. However, an hour or so earlier I had watched a metal bar across a field gate vibrating quite wildly for some minutes. As the weather was still and there didn't seem to be any other reason for it to happen, I did wonder then whether there might be an earth tremor taking place.

Shrugs shoulders - felt similar a number of times in California, but we did wonder if it really was an earthquake. Also felt like armourments landing in practise on Salisbury Plain, except we don't live across there any more.

It frightened my cat who ran and hid under a bed for over an hour. Neighbours suffered from damage to a chimney, but it was already damaged and due for rebuilding.
