I just wanted to introduce myself to the rest of the Coffee Shop members.

I am Jo and I work for First Great Western. I will be here on the forum to help anyone that needs answers or explanations. Please bear with me as I find my way around and also feel free to let me know if I post too much or too little!

Currently Jo is in charge of Twitter/Facebook as well as being a Senior Customer Relations Officer.

Yes, I am here in an official capacity and I am Digital Community Manager for FGW.

Sadly my weekend hasn't started just yet!

A very warm welcome to the Coffee Shop Jo. Really pleased you have signed up which is great. Don't ever be concerned about posting too much or too little. As you will see some post more than others...mentioning no names  ;) and some post from time to time and everyone is welcome in whatever capacity in which they wish to contribute.

We spoke once, Jo, via the medium of Twitter, regarding a link to timetables on the website, which led to last winter's instead of this summer's times. Sorted partially within the hour, and completely within days. It is useful to have a facility like that.

I admire your work on Twitter -- a difficult job well done.

We haven't met but I am currently The Writer on the Train for First Great Western. This is my first day registered on this site! FGW have given me a pass to the network so that I can travel and collect stories from both staff and passengers, as well as explore the history and geography of the line. For the past couple of months I have been posting at http://writeronthetrain.com So far I have interviewed quite a few members of staff I have come across on my travels. Now I am hoping to gather stories from passengers -- like our friends here at the Coffee Shop. Anyone with an interesting story can post at my site or send me an email at writeronthetrain@gmail.com.

No, Jo, as mentioned in an earlier post is changing positions - Jo is in charge of the social media presence but won't physically be tweeting/facebooking etc.

I note FGW have acquired their very own impersonator (http://twitter.com/fgwbecky). Slightly surprised she doesn't address people as "my love"...

I thought the school holidays had ended?

It had to happen before long I suppose.  I was amazed at the number of forum spammers attempting to join this forum reported in another thread.  (I have enough problems with junk mail).

Meanwhile the official FGW Twitter account is now going to be staffed seven days a week 07:00 to 22:00.

That didn't last long. "FGW Becky"'s account appears to have been suspended...

I'm sure Ollie is real. He looked real on Saturday.

Note to Ollie (et al).  Do you post on Fb for First Devon & Cornwall, or are they different people in a different area?  Being First, I presume all the posts came from the same department.
Now call me naive.

IsFirst D+C not buses? FGW being trains are completely different subsidaries of the same parent company.
