Title: 14/02 19.48 London Paddington - Worcester Shrub Hill
Post by: dmacw on February 14, 2013, 21:17:01
I just passed through Reading to see the 19.48 Paddington - Worcester in Platfom 7.

The FGW website says it was terminated at Reading due to 'disruptive passengers'. Can anyone expand?

Internal sources say the Train Manager was assaulted and there are no available staff to take over the service.

I hope whoever was responsible for the assault has been arrested.

Comes to something when a train manager is injured to such an extent that he/she can no longer do his/her job. I sincerely hope that whoever was responsible is brought before the courts and punished to reflect not only the assault on the TM but also the hundreds of passengers who were late home.  Probably hoping too much but some sort of message should be sent out.

It's not the catching 'em part thats the problem.    It's the soft justice system if they get to court.
