Appeal for information after incident on Falmouth -Truro train

British Transport Police (BTP) officers are appealing for information after passengers on board a train travelling between Falmouth and Truro are alleged to have used racially abusive language in front of other passengers.

The incident was reported to BTP shortly before 2pm on Tuesday, 26 February, by the train manager on board the service.

Two men aged 27 and 31, from Truro, and a 25-year-old woman from Falmouth were arrested on suspicion of committing a racially-aggravated public order offence. They have been released on bail pending further enquiries until Wednesday, 27 March.

PC Wayne Frost, investigating officer, said: ^Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and, at this stage, I am appealing for anyone who was on board the train between Falmouth and Truro - between about 1.40pm and 2pm on Tuesday, 26 February - to come forward if you witnessed this incident. Your information may be able to assist police investigation this incident. If you think you can help, please come forward and contact BTP straight away.^
