Title: What happened on the Reading to Basingstoke line today?
Post by: James on August 24, 2013, 21:21:30
Just out of interest, what happened today at Mortimer with the signalling equipment, as it has been over 4 hours of delays and 1 cancellation?
Is they like a quicker way of dealing with this issue in future, although to be fair it is the bank holiday weekend, maybe the Network Rail guys are taking a rest, who knows...

I suspect "Network Rail guys" are possibly busier than normal. Quite a bit of engineering work goes on most weekends and the extra day in most of the country (parts of Scotland don't observe Monday as a holiday) means they can near take some slightly bigger projects.
