Post by: chuffed on October 10, 2013, 19:59:49
Baroness Kramer announced that these areas were getting ^1.3 million worth of better buses. Seems good value until you discover that Nottingham has been given ^18 million ....and they've already got a tram system that's being extended, plus a completely rebuilt railway station !

A correction ...Nottingham getting ^11 million and Sheffield ^18 million over the next for years for better BUSES ! Why do they need buses,  when they both have tram systems Bristol would love to have. And what do we get ? Bust Rabid transit ! (thanks Four Track, Now for the best description of this scheme!)

You have to move with the times, chuffed. Like Marathon became Snickers, Opal Fruits became Starburst, and Lily Savage became Paul O'Grady, so Bust Rabid Transit has become.... Metrobust!  (Tah Dah!!!)

Here in detail (http://www.travelwest.info/sites/default/files/West%20of%20England%20Better%20Bus%20Area%202013%20Overview%20and%20Application.pdf) is what ^1.3 million buys you in this particular instance...
