Indeed. We all knew that anyway.

I laughed more than I have done for a while when I read this take on the story though:

Quote

Bath snubbed by The Sunday Times Best Places to Live in Britain guide

...did Bath deserve to get snubbed in favour of Bristol in the annual guide to the top 101 places to live in Britain?

There, there. I've always said Bath was Bristol's second nicest suburb; I don't know what they're complaining about.

Actually, I'm currently on a dog walk enjoying some of the extraordinarily beautiful (and it would appear criminally overlooked) countryside near where I live just outside Bath.

He is partial to a bit of fresh squirrel, as it happens...

An alternative take from the satirical news site The Daily Mash:

Yes, I'd heard that there were a few criminals living in the hills overlooking Bath...

Well, you would know all about interesting characters living in the hills, wouldn't you?...Quote from bignosemac's Daily Mash article:

The Sunday Times also praised Bristol for having all its rich people live together on a big hill, in a weird kind of segregation that gives it ^an interesting science fiction feel^.

Meanwhile, Bristol and Bath has been named the UK's most productive region outside London, according to Centre for Cities, Cities Outlook 2014 - http://www.westerndailypress.co.uk/Colin-Skellett-MIPIM-taken-Bristol-Bath/story-20844338-detail/story.html

Note: That's Bristol AND Bath - What would you do without us?  ;D
