Title: Lovely Melksham Folk
Post by: Cynthia on April 09, 2014, 22:09:09
I have recently taken to hopping on and off buses far more frequently, being unable to drive following a session of tortuous orthopaedic surgery!  Although there is only one bus a day from a walkable bus stop away, I have been very glad to avail myself of its service, especially to be able  to buy from the newly-resituated Melksham market.  However, one of the nicest things I've found with travelling on the buses has been the companionship of my fellow travellers.  On Tuesday, whilst waiting for the bus home, a fellow resident of my estate crossed the road in the Market Place in Melksham to come and ask me to sit with her and her friend, who were waiting at the stop on the other side of the road.  ('We get to do the scenic tour of Sainsbury's car park!')

Ok, big deal, you might say, but to me it really highlighted how nice the folk are in Melksham.  Bless.  :)

Thank you bobm - however skipping and jumping are a bit beyond me at the moment!  :D
