Title: First not 1st
Post by: trainer on June 09, 2014, 22:50:17
I know someone else raised this as a hypothetical issue in another thread which I can't find easily, but travelling on an XC HST in 1st Class (much superior to the Voyagers IMHO, but another topic) a week ago and an elderly couple were expelled, albeit nicely, by the conductor because they had misunderstood their tickets which had been issued by a First train company and contained the word (apparently - I was eavesdropping after all) which they had mistaken for the class of travel. The conductor explained carefully why they made the error and then pointed the way to steerage. Very embarrassing for them.
