Falmouth Town cannot accommodate 3 Cars, hence the closure.

Walking through town could hardly move for the crowds. All the stations are manned so you can buy a ticket before you get on. I heard that Perranwell had 90 people on one train earlier today which shows how practical it was.
Quite a few car parks have closed in the centre of Falmouth so it makes sense to leave the car at a station and take the train instead over the next few days. Perranwell being the only one with free parking. Parking in Falmouth was non existent. My parents live a 15 minute walk from town so I parked there and walked. Incoming traffic at around 10-11 am was queuing past Asda on the way in according to my mum. When I drove in at 9 there was no traffic. I caught the 0926 from Perranwell and my sister and I had acres of room in the front coach. One hour later and the train was packed!

Many didn't and went on boat trips to see from the water side. The Ferries, (100 capacity each on 10 minutely services) were all looking full on every trip. Though looking at the timetable I'm a bit worried that there is only one service back to Truro after the fireworks on Saturday night (ok, two if you count the one departing a couple of minutes after they're due to finish), which may struggle to cope.

Incidentally, St Ives only 2 carriages instead of 4.

I suspect it hasn't been possible to fix it overnight so one has been borrowed from the St Ives branch.

Road traffic was arranged in a timely fashion, and we were delayed waiting the branch about an hour. I didnt any angry people at Falmouth Docks.
