Title: Passenger Focus - a source
Post by: grahame on January 27, 2008, 09:33:34
For newcomers to the site (and others who don't sleuth around as much as some of us other "sad cases") ... here's a source of information you may not have come across - the Passenger Focus web site.

http://www.passengerfocus.org.uk/advice-and-information/ (http://www.passengerfocus.org.uk/advice-and-information/)

Examples:

"Do I have to buy a ticket even if the queue at the ticket office is so long that I'll miss my train"
http://www.passengerfocus.org.uk/advice-and-information/question.asp?dsid=185

"If I buy a ticket in advance am I guaranteed a seat?"
http://www.passengerfocus.org.uk/advice-and-information/question.asp?dsid=186
(Passenger Focus are slightly out of date here, I think - if you are over 25 weeks pregnant, a season ticket holder, standard class is full, and you have a pre-authorisation from FGW, you MAY now sit in a first class seat without paying for an upgrade or seeking permission from the on board crew.)
