Title: National Rail site causing panic confusion
Post by: JonnyD on August 03, 2015, 08:22:56
Hopefully just teething troubles. Travelling FIT to BTH and when I checked online, timetable said 0753 to arrive 0830ish. Myself and other passengers in a panic when waiting and checking the online live departures as these suddenly claimed that there were only deps from BRI at 0745 and 0906

The services to Bath are running though - it looks like National Rail is showing final destinations as the intermediate stops (Keynsham and Oldfield Park).  Not sure why this is? Feeling sorry for the platform staff today

Yes - I noticed this, or what I assume is related (and overheard a conversation between passengers about it too).

I found it very hard to describe what was going on though. What was happening (for me) was that searching for BRI - BOA times on nationalrail.co.uk - NRE gave one an hour yesterday. Same when searching BRI - BTH. Whereas the timetables, FGW website (and NRE last week) gave the full range - 7 between 1600 and 1800 inclusive.

Seems to be what I would expect today when having a look. [Although the service that did appear yesterday (1752 BRI-BTH) is not shown for going on to BOA as the next train connects with the same bus.]

If you followed that - well done!  :-\
