Title: Coffee Shop members meeting in Taunton on Saturday 3 October 2015
Post by: Chris from Nailsea on September 30, 2015, 18:06:48
On behalf of the administrator / moderator team on the Coffee Shop forum, I'd like to extend an invitation to any forum members - or indeed non-member readers - to join us for a meet up in Taunton on Saturday 3 October 2015.

Many of the administrator / moderator team here, as well as several established members of the Coffee Shop forum, are frequent attendees at the TravelWatch SouthWest twice-yearly meetings, which are an excellent opportunity to catch up and discuss various public transport issues across the South West.

After the meeting, many of us are likely to call in at a pub near Taunton Station - The Plough Inn (http://www.theploughtaunton.co.uk/), Station Road, from 3:15pm onwards, where any of our Coffee Shop members or non-member readers will be very welcome to join us, for a social chat over a beer or two!  :)

Purely for ease of identification, I shall be there, wearing an orange hi-viz vest with a TransWilts Rail logo: please do introduce yourself if you are able to join us!

Chris from Nailsea.  ;)

I'll be there. Due at my sisters in Taunton from Sat evening.

So, if I get up early enough I'll go to the TWSW meeting, travelling down from Bristol (I have my own invite). If not I'll head down at my leisure and prop up the bar in The Plough Inn, Station Rd, from mid afternoon.

I shall most likely be sporting a grey flat cap.

And...?

Another one of the social faux pas you frown upon Chris?  ::)

I'll order you a nice Single Malt, on ice, with Dry Ginger, in The Plough this coming Saturday.  :P ;) ;D

Do keep a look out for me as due to my small size I am easily missed !

Well, I must say that I have, yet again, enjoyed a couple of pints (:P) in the excellent company of member 'broadgage' in Taunton.  Thanks, as ever, for your fount of amusing, and occasionally scurrilous, stories, broadgage!  ;) :D ;D

It was great that grahame was also able to join us for a quick beer - before he proceeded on what has apparently turned out to be a rather protracted journey home to Melksham (see another topic :o ).
