Title: Repairs...
Post by: lordgoata on November 24, 2015, 17:17:59
I assume this is not a standard repair and instead someone's idea of fun?!

I removed the upturned screw that was placed right in the middle ready for someone to sit on...

I hope you reported it to a member of the train crew or station staff.  This looks like an act of vandalism even with the intent to cause injury the train CCTV could have been checked by the Police

No staff at Goring when I got off, but it was the 1705 from Maidenhead to Oxford, if someone can work out which train it was!

It's the front ex-first class carriage, seat was the first one facing the front, on the left, if you stand with your back to the cab.

It could only have been done recently as the screw was balancing and standing up - the seats were empty as it pulled in to Maidenhead so whoever did it got off before there, or moved seats at least.

Not for everyone, but I once reported some obscene graffiti on a driver only train about 15 minutes before we got to Reading on Twitter. When we arrived two people got on and removed it.  Impressive response.
