Title: NON-AVAILABIITY OF COFFEE SHOP over coming days
Post by: grahame on May 12, 2016, 22:16:59
Due to engineering and configuration work for a (paying) user of our server, there will be some ups and downs over the next 48 hours and perhaps some outages for several hours.   Sorry about any disruption caused.

No offer of a replacement service? Will staff be around to give us directions? Why have we not been given 12 weeks notice to plan ahead?  :)

 ;D ;D

Steps are being taken to minimise any disruption, and indeed extra resources have now been drafted in to ensure that the required engineering work can carry on alongside the main traffic carrying operation.  In fact as I write, the server's running at reduced off-peak capacity.

Rather like Wednesday's flooding at Royal Wootton Bassett, the incident we're dealing with has cropped up at short notice and people would be rather upset if I left them without support for 12 weeks!

Not for me to say it - but if it was, I would say "on yer bus, mate"
