Every receipt for everything I've bought since we moved house is in the end kitchen drawer.
Every train ticket goes in a photo album! ::) :o Title: Re: Keeping receipts Post by: Bob_Blakey on July 19, 2016, 15:30:16 I'm not 100% convinced that NR were culpable - compared to the state of some of the permanent way in this neck of the woods the track featured in the website photo looks absolutely pristine; if the supposedly cash-strapped NR were responsible then they should probably consider spending less on weed killer.
As to the final paragraph of the 'news' report, 'A Network Rail spokesman declined to comment but said they were aware of the complaint and are investigating.', I assume checking their maintenance schedule would permit NR to say if they were potentially guilty in something like 30 seconds - hardly a major investigation! Title: Re: Keeping receipts Post by: TonyK on July 20, 2016, 23:18:21 I bought a rhubarb plant at the Saturday market in South Molton, partly because I like rhubarb, partly because Mrs FT, N! wanted a rhubarb plant, partly because I find the stallholder rather attractive. The plant failed to flourish, despite her advice over the whole spring and summer, and she eventually asked me to dig it up and return it, so she could throw it on the compost heap to rejuvenate it. The replacement fired up at once, is now at least four plants, and will provide my dessert tomorrow as part of a crumble, along with West Country clotted cream from Wisemans dairy near Bridgewater, bought at Lidl.
At Ash Moor Nursery, their word is their bond. Other markets, nurseries, rhubarb, dairies, and discount supermarkets are available. None are as good. Try the corn bread at South Molton market if you can get there before it sells out, and don't miss the cheese stall. Epoisses stinks, but is the nicest after dinner cheese I know.
