Title: Bristol Doors Open Days, explore unseen Temple Meads Post by: johnneyw on August 19, 2016, 00:30:23 Bristol Evening Post reports that the 2016 Bristol Doors Open Days includes tours of Temple Meads on Saturday 10 September. You can explore the tunnels under the station, the air raid shelter and the original vaults used to service the station and trains. Pre booking only, admission free and runs from 10am to 4pm.

They are always popular and sell out quickly. There are lots of other venues open over that weekend which don't need to be booked in advance.

Or perhaps a number of free tours as is now and some extra paid for ones. The demand is clearly there. As to what constitutes a reasonable tour charge is another matter but I wouldn't be expecting a champagne reception. Then again!!!! ☺
