POLICE were called to Swindon train station this weekend after an object was thrown at a train window.

British Transport Police officers were called shortly before 3pm on Saturday after a train driver reported something being thrown at a cab window.

The object, believed to be an air weapon, damaged the window. No-one on the train was hurt and no arrests have been made. Police are investigating the incident.

Officers searched the train and the area near the Minety Crossing where the incident is believed to have taken place.
