Title: Petition - Cross Country trains at Paignton

From the Torbay Herald Express (http://www.torquayheraldexpress.co.uk/save-our-trains-sign-the-petition-in-bid-to-save-vital-train-services/story-29945824-detail/story.html)

SAVE OUR TRAINS: Sign the petition in bid to save vital train services

THE fight is on to try to halt drastic cuts to South Devon's train services which have angered political, tourism and community leaders.

CrossCountry plans to reduce the current eight daily trains between Paignton and Birmingham and Manchester to just one out of the Bay at 7am.

This means Teignmouth and Dawlish also lose seven services and the stops at Newton Abbot will be reduced. Today, the Herald Express has teamed up with politicians, business and tourism leaders to launch a campaign to Save our Trains and we need all our readers to sign up and object to the proposals.

I'm also copied on a message ... "Please ask your members to support this petition to save our Cross Country Services. Many thanks. Phil Chappell". Here I'm suggesting that members may like to take a look, read into the subject, and support it should they feel that's appropriate.  I will also email Phil to make him aware of this thread and invite him to register and comment if he wishes.
