Title: Frinton on Sea now has a topic of its own

Let's hope not ... but I'll admit to drawing a deep breath when I saw two successive threads on the WNXX forum's "breaking news" section ...

And don't forget the GEML for good measure...  ;)

But not exactly the GE Main Line - "Frinton-on-Sea cut off from the world" is one of those headlines, isn't it?

May be apocryphal but a good one nonetheless:

Many years ago - sign at Liverpool St station proclaims in large letters "Harwich for the Continent"
Underneath someone had written "Frinton for the rest of us!"

Indeed...t'interweb refers to this as far back as the days of LNER but the version I read about stated that it was a much more recent Sealink poster at Manningtree station.
