Which, however, could be usefully summarised in context by an expert who knows the Thames Valley well, such as yourself.  Living it Atrebatia (http://atrebatia.info), the Thames Valley is only an occasional destination for me.  I am aware that intermediate traffic accounts for a much higher proportion of journeys on the Marlow line than the Henley line, which in turn has much more intermediate traffic than the Windsor branch  ;) ...

I'm outer Thames Valley - such that you know more than I....

Best to await posts from those in the vicinity.

As far as Marlow branch goes ticket selling  is as follows

Marlow absolutely no facilities. A TVM is promised, one of the new ones?
Bourne End Booking office mornings. TVM
Cookahm Booking office mornings, possible TVM
Furze Platt Booking Office mornings. No TVM

Guard should sell tickets out of hours.

Marlow is probably one of the most basic stations you can find. A very small shelter and open platform.

Ditto Wargrave, absolutely no ticket buying facilities at the station and if there is someone to buy a ticket from on the train they usually get off at Twyford a very few minutes after you board.

I think the temporary closure at Bourne End is more to do with staff recruitment than a desire to close the ticket office, the Maidenhead - Marlow line has a brisk trade in the mornings for ticket.  The area is a high employment area and the hours at the ticket office perhaps don't suit a lot of people
