Title: Mother complains that no-one gives up seat so she can breastfeed seated

Furious mother shames commuters who 'forced her to stand up' while breastfeeding on train

An angry mother has lashed out at a group of commuters who she says failed to give up their seats to allow her to breastfeed her baby comfortably on a packed train.

Bryony Esther said she asked fellow commuters if she could sit down in the priority seating area of the c2c train, only to be ignored.

The outraged parent took to social media to vent her outrage, posting a picture of her breastfeeding her baby standing up while passengers were sitting around her.

Ms Esther, from Leigh-on-Sea in Essex, slammed a group of men who she said clogged the priority seating area on the carriage with their suitcases and a bicycle.

I've put a poll on this one, as I suspect that some members may have different private views to what they want to say in public.

Votes aren't tracked in detail on our database ... I've confirmed it shows you as having voted in this poll, but I haven't gone back through and manually worked out how.  Very odd.  I have amended the poll to allow votes to be changed, so you should be able to see how it thinks you voted and update if that's not right.

On this poll, note that results can only be seen once you've voted.

Anyone else with issues - please report them.

On this poll, note that results can only be seen once you've voted.

Noting that this poll actually closed several weeks ago now, our wider readers may be interested to see the overall result:

Actually I would give up my seat to a 'lady' whether she was breast feeding or not.

Mind you i'm probably in the minority here, over 60, do not use facebook, tweeter, gizmo, and
quite old fashioned.( Also as mad as a box of frogs).

I'm curious to know how the use (or not) of social media equates to whether one does or does not show consideration to others.

As for the madness. Try these:

I was refering to the Mother's choice of social media, I suppose, to 'vent her disgust' to all her facebook 'friends'.

Does this mean journalists now 'trawl' through social media looking for photo's of irate Mother's breast feeding babies?

Perhaps I should join facebook, so that next time I get a 'dodgy pasty' I can reveal my shock horror to anyone remotely
 interested.

Or perhaps I should stick to us more cultured members on this forum.

Yes they do trawl through social media looking for stories. Standards of journalism are at an all time low partly because of this.

The media are very grateful to a certain Everton footballer for giving them a nice decent story to get their teeth into.
