No need to register - might be a courtesy to let Nigel (details on the bottom of the event page) know ... or if people follow up or message me I can let him know there may be more along than usual.

Oh yes - but then it's at a time that a number of them will be driving delivery vans around, I suspect!

Actually, I was rather wondering aloud whether Nigel Ashton and / or Elfan ap Rees will be attending this meeting.  ::)

Sadly this clashes with a large public meeting in Bath that afternoon promoting proportional representation, otherwise I would have come along.

I met Nigel in Leicester today ... he's very happy for anyone to just turn up.  Plenty of capacity and love to see you there  (where "you" is anyone and everyone who reads this thread!)

Good to see so many people  (knowledgable people and a sprinkling of newcomers) at this meeting.

Railfuture Severnside listed projects to support on its radar across the area - extension on Cardiff - Taunton service to Minehead, Portishead, Henbury, stations at Stonehouse (Bristol Road), Langport / Somerton and Wellington. Continued support for TransWilts activities - as updated within one of the talks ( http://atrebatia.info/tw_rf_20171118.pdf ). General support for better pedestrian and bus access to stations.

Grant awards for the year to the Portishead, Bridgwater and Pilning groups, with a request to the Portishead group that they remain firmly coupled with MetroWest all be it with their Portishead bias;  their representative confirmed that's very much their direction.

Update from Peter Travis for the FAVBUG group (Frome and Villages Bus User Group) and very much an integrated public transport approach through the day.

Excellent AGM / discussion amongst a select group at Bridgwater yesterday; you'll find reports and comments on some of the topics in other threads.

There's a meeting (by invite) for specifically Somerset people on 23rd May in Taunton at 12:00 - please contact the secretary for details.  The branch has drawn a hard line around (greater) Somerset to define the area covered - so it's the old county including interests up to Portishead and in Bath, also Frome, but meeting not for representatives from outside the county, even who's lines / spheres of interest pass through.

Also for your (later) diary - next meeting probably 14th July / just possibly 30th June;  I will add to the calendar and add venue when confirmed.
