But surely being labelled "cool" by the National Geographic is like being called "rebellious" or "subversive" on a Top of the Pops appearance?

I've been to four of the places (including Bristol) on that list this year, and Bristol doesn't figure in the first three places for memorable meals.

Out of BA, Namibia, Greece, Singapore, Flanders, Paris, Perth and Russia - Bristol hasn't struck a particular culinary note. Must have eaten at the wrong place. The others had some memorable food moments - and a lot less weird than some other places I have been. Tasted superb, especially with a vat of Malbec.
