Title: SWR Engineering Works
Post by: Fourbee on January 23, 2018, 13:17:33
I noticed last weekend 21/22 January that there was quite a lot of engineering work across the SWR network with buses in place. There is a similar amount this weekend, certainly on the Sunday 28th.

Nothing new about that of course, but there is a problem with the journey planners. Last weekend (train) services were showing as running right up until the day itself in some cases and the same seems to be happening with engineering works for this weekend.

On twitter SWR have advised there are software problems loading the changes into journey planners, but advertising trains which will not run is not very good to say the least IMO.

Failure to update timetables for normal engineering work in the Wessex route area has been getting gradually worse for about a year.  The supposed 12 week notice deadline probably hasn’t even achieved 12 days in recent months.  I don’t believe it is anything to do with the operator change either...
