Melksham: Ticket Vending Machine problem
The ticket vending machines are out of order at Melksham station.
Additional Information
Please purchase tickets at the ticket office or, if unavailable, at the first available opportunity to do so when no other means of purchasing them is available at the station.

Don't believe everything you read ... ticket machine apparently in working order ... checked at 10:30 and 12:45 - though not to transaction completion (my off peak return, via London, to Altnabraec being a bit expensive as a test purchase).

Is this reporting of TVMs out of order when they're working a peculiarly Melksham problem?

......wouldn't like to say but the TfL machines that have been installed at a lot of the LTV stations seem a great deal more reliable.

The one at Melksham is reliable it seems.   The system which informs Journeycheck is less so.   ;D

Do they sell normal National Rail tickets or just TfL journeys?
