That's close to their wind turbine blade manufacturing facility. It is rumoured one of the reasons they lost out to some of the recent train build contracts, IEP, Crossrail and some other TFL contracts was they did not have a percentage build in the UK. MP for Goole and Brigg Andrew Percy said it was a "fantastic commitment from Siemens". "This has the potential to be transformative for our area and for local young people," he added. In December 2016, the company opened a £310m wind turbine blade manufacturing facility in Hull employing 1,000 workers.
