Title: What happened at Kintbury on Friday 13th?
Post by: hoover50 on April 16, 2018, 21:11:21
On Friday 13th April I was waiting at Pewsey for the 1018 to Paddington but it showed on the station display as delayed and then it was cancelled. It seems it stopped just past Woodborough and then reversed back and headed to Reading via Melksham and Swindon.

The reason given was that there was a problem with a freight train in the Kintbury area.

Does anyone have any further info on what happened?

The freight passed a signal at red.
