Title: Where Are The British Transport Police?
Post by: Lee on March 17, 2007, 10:00:18
From FOSBR :

"Not FGW's fault, but 19:02 from BTM to SB was delayed for 20 mins (and probably the whole service for the rest of the evening disrupted) by a neanderthal idiot who became abusive when asked to move from the space where the cycles are supposed to go. There were plenty of other seats and the conductor rightly refused to leave TM until this abusive idiot was off the train. Transport police were called, but came there none. Idiot eventually decided (to cheers of all on board) that it was probably best to get off the train before he was arrested. All credit to the train crew for some smart operating to make up time once we eventually left BTM. New question is: where are the BTP if it takes them +20 minutes to respond to an incident at TM on a Friday night at rush hour? I thought they had an office near Platform 2? Maybe they are being cut back too?"

Perhaps they have all been recruited to the new enforcement teams of penalty fare inspectors  ;D
