Title: South Western Railways fuel problem

Train 'runs out of FUEL' on way to Exeter as month of rail disruption begins

Fuel issues caused disruption on the trains between London and Exeter on Friday ahead of a weekend of strike action.

Travellers were left incensed by the problems that come at the start of a month of rail disruptions between Devon and the capital due to industrial problems.

South Western Railways confirmed that passengers on the London Waterloo to Exeter St Davids service were forced to moved from the front three carriages to the back half of the train after it split in half at Salisbury.

The back portion of the train carried on to Exeter while the front portion returned to the depot to refuel.

Incensed?   Really?    Or was it a slow news day for a shock-headline-hungry media?

Don’t they split at Salisbury anyway?

Quite a few split but not all.  As suggested it’s hardly newsworthy.  When they do split correctly there’s nearly always some people who don’t realise anyway, having tuned out all the prior automatic announcements.
