Title: AvonRider Zone Extension Into Wiltshire From 2 September 2018
Post by: Lee on August 31, 2018, 16:08:56
From Travelwest (https://travelwest.info/bus/avonrider-multi-operator-bus-tickets-change-from-sunday-2-september-2018)

Quote from: Travelwest
AvonRider tickets will be valid for travel across the zone boundary on service D1 as far as Westbury (Haynes Road), on services D3 and X72 as far as Bowerhill (Kingfisher Drive), and on service X31 as far as Chippenham (Bus Station). AvonRider tickets may also be purchased by passengers boarding these services from those places inward to Bath.

More information on AvonRider tickets is available at www.travelwest.info/rider

I'd imagine many of grahame's bus corridor integration Christmasses have come at once, given the D3 and X72 will now combine to offer a weekday every 15 minutes frequency between Melksham Market Place and Bath:

Good value for £7.20.

I’m a fan of rover tickets valid across multi operators.

I wonder what the future holds for the Wiltshire Day Rover.  The leaflet hasn’t been updated for a while and invariably when I buy one the driver says “Haven’t sold one of these in a while .”

And the name is still appropriate too.

The River Avon flows through Melksham. ;)
