The board have been looking at the structure of the CIC taking into account the future opportunities, our policy direction and community engagement. In future we are including an open session for our stakeholders and members to attend our quarterly meeting. We hope you will be able to join us at the first of these meetings on 26th November 11.00-12.30 at Monkton Park Council Offices, Chippenham.

The Monkton Hill Council office is just 5 minutes walk from the railway station.

Will there be an opportunity for TransWilts members and shareholders to vote on these issues, and on the future structure of the CIC, its Board, and elect the Board members?

Much of the structure and membership input comes at the Annual General Meeting; in essence, this meeting is an expansion from the quarterly board meeting which is stepping towards giving stakeholder and members additional ownership in the Community Interest Company.  I would suggest you email the chair (chair@) and secretary ( secretary@ ) to establish detail and for early advise of the agenda.

From my incoming email, received during yesterday (and if you're a member of the TransWilts CIC you should have received this too)

TransWilts CIC Stakeholders meeting – Monday 26th November between 1 and 3pm at Wiltshire Council’s Monkton Hill Headquarters five minutes’ walk from Chippenham Railway Station.

As a TransWilts Member it is your chance to hear from representatives of GWR, SWR, Wiltshire Council and ACoRP.

You can also put your questions.  In order that you can receive an informed reply these need to be in writing in advance and should be sent to Community Rail Officer, Sophie Martin (sophie@transwilts.org) by 19th November.

As a member, I look forward to hearing.  Delighted that this move to a public session after the board meeting earlier in the day is going ahead - been planned for a while. Kinda hard to phrase the questions ahead of time as I don't know what's going to be said the all the various reps - sounds like it could be quite a big meeting.

"By 19th" suggests a reply needed over the weekend ... I have a couple of things I would love to know and will possibly write in - a difficult balance for me as outgoing board member and Community Rail Officer, but still being very interested and supportive in the effective ongoing work of the CRP and its positive impact on the line, passengers and environment.

NOTE CHANGE OF MEETING TIME from earlier in this thread.  (I will ask for confirmation / clarification of the meetings that day to ensure anyone reading this thread and coming is there at the right time)
