A mayor's claim that overcrowded buses, with regular cancellations and delays, are "good news" has left commuters "speechless".

Passengers have been complaining about problems with Bristol and Bath bus services.

According to West of England Mayor Tim Bowles it shows an increasing number of people are using public transport.

It could also show increasing congestion leading to severely lengthened journeys, and less frequent services with the same number of vehicles as a result.
