Network Rail is spending £68m to replace Victorian signalling equipment with a computer-based system between Norwich, Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft . The project was due to be complete by 31 March, but the deadline will now be pushed back to allow for more testing. The planning authority (The Broads Authority) refused an application from the owner to convert it into a dwelling. Local campaigners (well, not that local due to the remote location!) are trying to purchase and reopen as a public house. Slow progress apparently, and as far as I can gather it is not publicly on the market since being withdrawn from auction in June 2016.
