Title: Great North American railway journeys
Post by: chuffed on January 18, 2019, 10:50:37
Anyone else been rather disappointed by the first 4 programmes of Great Canadian railway journeys? I felt they lacked the 'wow' factor of the Alaskan programmes and wonder if the format of Michael doing a publicity piece for the local tourist board, Michael eating, Michael dressing up or down and Michael being silly has become a little worn and frayed round the edges. Time for a refresh/rethink perhaps ?
May have spoken too soon. Programme 5 seemed to recapture the spirit again.Michael seemed more engaged and enthusiastic and ended literally on a high. Choosing my words carefully as I don't want to be seen as a spoiler. Next week looks very promising as he starts on the west coast in Vancouver and will obviously be covering the Rockies.
