The up platform being the one that is now used in peak hours to/from Maidenhead only

Up platform is now Platform 1 and is used for the Maidenhead Peak Shuttle. Beware in this weather it is also very wet with puddling water. if you look on Realtime Trains you will see the Marlow and Maidenhead trains do a double departure in the morning peak. Thought that was a DR speciality especially on the narrow gauge.
