ticked two. I agree with the Transporter Bridge, and choose Ferry for Woolwich, Harpers etc

For once ... I am not submitting a vote in a poll I have started but (for the record) having set the poll I know all nine  ;D ;D - a couple of them did need research to find a third group member ...

Tried my hardest on my missing two. Look forward to seeing the triangular conections between 2 and 5.

Edit [18h22]: Made a punt on one of them  :)

A hugely impressive (in all the wrong ways) total of one so far. The connection is a bit wobbly too.

I've only got one so far. That's No. 2.

5 stumps me. I think I can come up with something sensible for the others.

No mention of Taunton.  I’m lost.  ;D

No mention of Taunton.  I’m lost.  ;D

I'll do a special "Connect Taunton" quiz at some point for you ...

OK - this poll has closed, biggest thing it showed was an apathy in people voting even though they read, and some commented.

Would one of the folks who has most of them jump in and 'complete' the answers ... see whether you've come up with the same connections I  based the question on or (  ;D ) something better!

OK as one who claimed 8, I will give it a go

1. Closed Stations

2. All towns have a London Road Station

3. Piers

4. Tram train projects (though obviously Portishead is still only an idea)

5.  ????

6. Washington Metro Stations

7. Ferry Stations

8. Mersey Tunnels

9. Transporter Bridges

2. All include the word "Go"  :D - that was my punt!
3. All have narrow gauge railways.
4. Tram-trains -planned or actual
5.  ??? ?
6. Rapid transit stations
7. Ferries
8. Mersey tunnels
9. Transporter bridges.

As someone who looked, though about commenting but then did not post my score knowing I was out of the running, I'll kick off with what the ones I think I got were-

1 - Stations closed in the same year (1994?)
2 - Stations on the original Cross Country (pre-Arriva) network
3 - Closed stations not an current active routes/services
7 - "Ferries" as already posted
9 - Transporter bridges, again as already posted

PS - just seen someone arrived before me!

1. Spot on eightonedee - all closed in 1994
2. London Road it is (Nottingham is closed, other ones open)
3. Yes - Narrow Gauge Railways and indeed there's something more specific
4. It is indeed Tram trains running or being looked at
5. Ah - has anyone got this?
6. Yes, Stations on the Washington DC Metro.  I wondered whether to include "Foggy Bottom" which amuses me
7. Ferries
8. The Mersey Tunnels - Kingsway and Queensway are road and the railway tunnel (surprise ...)
9. Transporter Bridges.

If I were to add Kempston Hardwick, I wonder if it might help? Quispamsis (not sure about that one).

I didn't get any of those but I can add a random transporter bridge fact: Since the one in Buenos Aires reopened in 2017, Warrington has the world's only still extant but non-functioning transporter bridge.
