Lessons from the Netherlands: building for people, not for cars
Monday 25 March 2019, 6pm - 8pm
The Gallery, 77 Cowcross Street, London, EC1M 6EL

In the Netherlands, whole new suburbs are built around new railway stations, rapid transit, cycling and walking. New housing estates have purpose-built bus lanes and well-placed bus stops. At our March event we aim to learn more about how this is achieved:

Who decides what transport provision is needed?
Who pays for the new stations, trams, buses, roads, cycling and pedestrian walkways in large scale housing?
How are uplifts in land value captured to fund sustainable transport infrastructure?

Hear speakers from the Netherlands and the UK and join in the discussion. Wine and light refreshments will be served.
