A new opening date is yet to be determined and more money to the tune of £17.6 billion is being poured into the project in order to get it finished. Tomorrow, the London Assembly Transport Committee will have an opportunity to explore lessons learned from former and current Crossrail executives. There will also be an update from Network Rail on the eastern and western sections of the railway and when they might be open. The guests are: Rupert Walker, Network Rail Strategy and Planning Director (South) Meliha Duymaz, Network Rail Route Managing Director (Anglia) Howard Smith, Crossrail Operations Director Simon Wright, former Crossrail CEO Andrew Wolstenholme, former Crossrail CEO The meeting will take place on Thursday, 14 March 2019 at 10:00am in The Chamber (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1).
