Title: Strong women set to cause trouble on Heart of Wessex train?
Post by: grahame on May 12, 2019, 19:36:16
The 20:23 (Saturday) train from Weymouth has a reputation for being just about the rowdiest on GWR, and indeed is a "dry" train with passengers not allowed to carry (or consume) alcohol on board.  And it seems that Weymouth has started its season early this year ... and with some unlikely characters.    From Somerset Live (https://www.somersetlive.co.uk/news/local-news/police-called-large-fight-involving-2859580)

Police detained two men after reports of a large fight broke out involving men in fancy dress at a West Country resort.

They were called to Weymouth Train Station shortly after 8pm on Saturday (May 11).

An onlooker said he saw men dressed as Princess Fiona and Snow White among other characters outside the station.

It also has its own unofficial name that you won’t find listed anywhere in view of what goes on at times. A train be avoided.
